2006-03-28 07:13:00 | Ok. Did it, but the external drive isn't showing up. I even tried refreshing. | djzenjen (10076) | |
2006-03-28 07:20:00 | If you can't see it in the second half of the display where is says Disk 0 Basic .... then go to the device manager and check to see if there are any USB errors, or any other errors that may be significant

2006-03-28 19:29:00 | Still nothing under the disk management thing. However, in my device manager under the "Universal Serial Bus controllers" section there is one item with a yellow exclaimation point called "USB Mass Storage Device". When I right click to select the properties of that item, it says, "This device cannot start. (Code 10)" in the Device Status section.

2006-03-28 22:46:00 | Ok. I just tried it a few times. The yellow exclaimation point just keeps coming back in the device manager. :annoyed: :help: | djzenjen (10076) | |
2006-03-28 22:55:00 | If your not using the USB ports for anything else I'd remove everything under Universal Serial Bus Controllers and then reboot. Other option would be to reinstall the USB drivers, but I'd go with the removal first. | gcarmich (10068) | |
2006-03-28 23:54:00 | Ok. I deleted all of them, rebooted, and they all just came back the way they were. So, where would I find USB drivers? I didn't see them on the Dell website for my machine. (Dell 9400/E1705) | djzenjen (10076) | |
2006-03-29 00:06:00 | There probably part of the chipset drivers. | gcarmich (10068) | |
