| 441336 | 2006-03-28 03:47:00 | I know XP loads most firewire drivers. I use a Panasonic dv cam here. XP detects it no prob at all. And I can use it in Nerovision, or Movie Maker. However, on the other hand, Windows 2000 doesnt wanna know about it. So, I cant use it in 2K to capture with. I can connect it to a com port in 2K, but the transfer of video, is disabled. I can only use it for transferring photos. If I ever install Windows 2K, on one of these again. |

| 441339 | 2006-03-29 23:39:00 | If the hdd has been formatted in a MAC format, I doubt XP will be able to read it. Without an emulator / software / hardware that can read MAC formatted hard drives. Unless the hdd gets detected in XP / or on the post screen, u can format it by going to control panel / admin tools / computer management / disk management. Highlight it, and format it. |

| 441340 | 2006-03-29 23:53:00 | my pc has now detected the hdd, but will not read it unless i partition it, will htis erase the data i have stored from my mac. what software can i use to read it? | Downie (10075) | ||
| 441341 | 2006-03-30 00:39:00 | There's Transmac ( . asy . com/) which looks like it can read most MAC things (floppy/hdd" target="_blank">www . asy . com/) which looks like it can read most MAC things (floppy etc), but it isnt free . BUT, it may have limitations, on how much of a hdd / floppy it can read . Until its registered . |
