| 441398 | 2006-03-28 04:38:00 | HP Pavilion ze4500 laptop. A little heavy and now outdated. But the battery after 3 years use seems to be going down and not holding its charge - certainly no use for more than 1 hour at the best of times. This worries me - batteries in my care generally last for ages (just replaced the Lada car battery after 12 years). Even if I don't use the thing the battery goes flat very quickly. I have a 5 year warranty. Am I justified in thinking this should include the battery? I did expect more than 3 years, or am I being unreasonable? If I have to buy a new one I would appreciate advice about the best value (thats means cheapest price!). Tom |

There are companies which will replace the cells in a NiMH battery ... Li-Ion is a bit more difficult, though there might me someone doing it now. You can do NiMH yourself, but they do a neat job. :D |
