| 441872 | 2006-03-30 01:06:00 | I do a fair bit of graphics work and send proofs by email and wonder if there is any software that can tell me the speed that my proofs are going at? I am still on dial-up as I refuse to be had by Telecom and the so called broadband. Peter A |

First, to send a binary file (image, executable, PDF, Word document, ZIP archive, etc.), the file has to be encoded into something that can be reliably transferred via e-mail. The encoding process usually results in a message that is much larger than the original file(s) that it contains." |

It is just a curiosity thing that drives me to find out. When downloading files from within Google you always get the file size and download speed. Somehow, I dont think there's anything out there, to show you what the speed is, when you're sending emails/attachments in OE . It depends on how big it is, on how long it'll take . Any site you download from, will show the filename / speed . Not just Google . |
