442196 2006-03-30 23:25:00 I think these entries may be a problem

R3 - URLSearchHook: (no name) - {4D25F926-B9FE-4682-BF72-8AB8210D6D75} - C:\Program Files\MyWaySA\SrchAsDe\deSrcAs.dll

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {4D25F921-B9FE-4682-BF72-8AB8210D6D75} - C:\Program Files\MyWaySA\SrchAsDe\deSrcAs.dll

Could be a nasty!!

Speedy may know?

Hmm looks like this gets installed on systems like HP and Dell etc.

And redirects people to their site.

I would try removing these entries as well.

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = dellsearchedit.myway.com

R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = www1.euro.dell.com

R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Page_URL = www1.euro.dell.com

R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = www1.euro.dell.com

And the 2 entries ooh yeah posted.

I would also check add/remove programs. See if My Way Search assistant or similar is here. Uninstall it, if it is.

442197 2006-03-30 23:28:00 To the MyWaySA, I deleted the folder, only containing 1 dll file. Do not know how that could have gotten there, since I have 3 anti spyware programs with live protection running consequtively. Did not solve the problem.
It would seem to me, that IE6 itself has a problem of a sort, because it is only when I try to open things with that or open things that use IE6, but not if I try to use FireFox..
Any ideas or perhaps a way to reinstall IE6?

If My way search assistant was or is in add/remove programs, DON'T delete the folder. Uninstall it first. Or it may make things worse.

I take it you have rebooted since ticking the entries in the HJT log??

442199 2006-03-30 23:33:00 In regards to which I rebooted or not, that would be a given, would it not?
And Yes I did remove it in the Add/remove programs as well.. Did nothing for me, cept got rid of some spyware.

If you mean would it reboot by itself, then no it wont. You have to restart.

442201 2006-03-30 23:38:00 What I meant was, anyone with just a small amount of computer knowledge would know to reboot atleast once, when you're trying to fix a problem.
Safe mode doesn't work either.. Tried it earlier today.

442202 2006-03-30 23:40:00 Hmm ok and what happens when u press F8 after you reboot??

And select safe mode?

Any error messages?
Speedy Gonzales (78)
442203 2006-03-30 23:43:00 Well I did get one, but disabled it. Said something about "Unable to detect AC Adapter", but that is a general error, not one that promted in Safe mode. Doubt that has anything to do with it. Dia (10103)
442204 2006-03-31 05:48:00 So I'm out of options? Dia (10103)
442205 2006-03-31 06:02:00 Try this reg file (www.kellys-korner-xp.com)

Number 235 (www.kellys-korner-xp.com)

It'll restore help and support.

Download this file double click on it let it add the info to the registry. See if it works then.
