442966 2006-04-02 00:49:00 Hi All.........As it asks above. What method is the quickest & uses the least amount of our 1GB. One person is on UK Broadband & one on NZ Dial Up Modem. Thanks PJ Poppa John (284)
442967 2006-04-02 00:56:00 How big is the data/Music you want to send?

Do you have a CD/ DVD Burner?

442968 2006-04-02 00:57:00 With dial up involved I would guess the order would be...

1. Burn CD and post via airmail
2. A p2p file sharing program
3. Upload to a web site so other person can download at their leisure
4. Email - email adds a large amount to file sizes so is not ideal IMO

442969 2006-04-02 00:57:00 Further.......I suppose the easiest way would be to put it on a CD & send it Snailmail!!! Doesn't say much for Computers & the Internet tho'. does it. PJ Poppa John (284)

442971 2006-04-02 01:02:00 how do you 'talk' to the other person? IM ?

some of the instant messaging programs can send files and more importantly have a resume feature and speed throttle. when ever your both online it can automaticly start downloading.

otherwise you could use a ftp server however you need to tell them your ip addy each time your online :(

edit: 48meg isn't much it will be done withen a day.

442973 2006-04-02 01:05:00 Upload the file to www.dropload.com (http://www.dropload.com) and the person at the other end can pick it up from there. Mackin_NZ (6958)
