1399913 2015-05-03 02:59:00 Hi people,

Scrolling through a PDF is jittery. I'm basically wondering if there's a way to get... 60fps scrolling? Either in chome, or an external reader?
Obviously I have a GPU, and enabling hardware acceleration in chrome makes scrolling through web pages a lot faster but is there anyway to do it with a PDF viewer?
The reason is, I need to be able to skim through large PDF's by pressing the middle mouse button and dragging down but the PDF gets drawn on the screen so slowly, it ends up becoming unreadable unless scrolling at low speeds.

Any help would be much appreciated,

1399916 2015-05-03 03:27:00 how are you measuring the fps? Mirddes (10)
1399917 2015-05-03 03:56:00 I'm not properly going that hardcore, but scrolling at the same page/second rate as I am in adobe with same zoom levels, I can see no visible difference at all. skeptile2 (16539)
1399918 2015-05-03 04:26:00 Try having a look in the options / preferences of what ever reader you are using. There should be someplace an option for smooth scrolling or similar. Every Reader will be different.

Personally I use Nitro Reader, mainly because you can edit PDF's add text, copy text etc. If you wanted to test your reader as a side by side test, do a google search for "nitro reader smooth text" The Very first link should be the User Guide (PDF) its 1.5MB and on this PC with Nitro you can scroll flat out with no jitters, smooth as silk, no jitters. :2cents:
