| 1399716 | 2015-04-30 22:25:00 | What I have done this morning: Reset Windows to factory defaults and updating Windows now; will upgrade to Windows 8.1 after Windows updates. Resetting Windows doesn't help. Googled only to find that it's quite a common problem with this model but Asus hasn't come out with a solution, yet! Any suggestions? |

| 1399720 | 2015-05-01 02:08:00 | Try this (answers.microsoft.com) Been there, won't work. Upgrading to Win8.1 failed. it's trying to restore to previous version of Windows. I've decided to wipe the HDD and do a clean install of Win8.1 - it's installing now. See how it goes. |
