1388330 2014-11-19 06:43:00 Greetings
For the past year it is no contest -
Best - Specsavers Glenfield - I went to them with a problem over a weekend of flashes and floaters in my right eye. They were so very thorough, helpful and reassuring that I bought them a box of chocolates, over and above their fee.
Worst = By a huge measure - Jetstar - we have used them and have always tended to have a good experience, but when things go wrong. I ended up paying a premium because of their website. They promised a voucher, but
that has not been emailed. Talk to their people in (Manila, we are pretty certain) and they say a rote "you must have entered the voucher number wrong", despite my wife who was in accounting for many decades. She entered three times
and three times rejected. So, she entered it wrong ?? They say try again .... this is beyond comprehension.

So a great experience and a very sad and frustrating one !

1388332 2014-11-19 07:18:00 Worst spark, rang up to find out how long left on contract. automated voice service asked what I wanted. "Account enquiry" on hold for 15 mins, then gave up.
Best spark, rang again and said"account closure" my call was answered in 30 seconds, got required information.

1388333 2014-11-19 07:54:00 Best: Specsavers Napier (I had my first test in over 30 years)
Worst: My g/f's ex pool cleaner (a private bloke with no business name)

TIP: Wanna get through to Spark for any reason? Dial 128 and choose the option that you want to pay an overdue account, you'll probably get through quick sharp. (Then explain your problem and you'll be transferred)

1388334 2014-11-19 08:05:00 A-Holes, Liars and thieves: a resounding vote for VODAFONE

When I decided to try their Prepay Plan, on the very first day I tried to send a Txt it was to only to receive a message from VF saying I couldn't as I had exceeded my plan. This was on a no limit plan! And it was still the very first day!

I had purchased a $29 plan, but the first time I tried to place a call, VF system said I had no credit, but I could purchase a $6, 24 hour extension. Which I did. 3 Hours later, still not to able to make any calls. Back to the VF store at Sylvia Park. They said it would take time to fix.

I said they had a contractual obligation to render the service - VF had made an offer to give me a service. I had accepted their offer, and I had made a payment (i.e. all the elements of a contract). But that went totally over the head of the VF bunnies I talked to. I cancelled the service and went next door to the convenient 2 Degrees store and signed up with them, on account, and have had great service since. When I made noises to VF they had failed to meet their contractual obligations by not providing the service, they countered by saying I had terminated the agreement, and therefore I was due no refund.

Small claims Tribunal? Not worth the effort for $36 and the $50 SCT fee. Probably the response Vodafone factor in.

1388335 2014-11-19 08:24:00 Oh, I didn't find Vf quite that bad; incompetent, arrogant and disinterested was about as far as they got. Their henchmen, 1st Mobile Birkenhead were all the above, all below and not very nice people really.
