1388092 2014-11-14 19:26:00 I wanted to know if some of you have solutions to empty a file quarantine in antivirus software blocked by a password. I found the quarantine folder and delete it manually, but in ESET tools it is still visible. jado0280 (17307)
1388093 2014-11-14 22:09:00 Did you go into the quarantine list, right click the entry / Delete from quarantine ? wainuitech (129)

Yes, but this is protectet by password. I use company notebook and admins always freaking out when quarantine is full :-)

What happens if you select the file /press the delete key. A password protected file, unless the option has been set / Locked by the admin, shouldn't be a worry to delete.

What you can try is resetting the log options. ( this is from V7 & 8)

Open Nod32, press F5, the advanced options will open ( may take a minute) from the drop down list, select Tools/log Files -- On the right -- Automatically Delete records, drop the number down to 1 ( default is 90 days), it should clear over night. You can also click on the next section - Maintenance, and optimize.

Mind you, if your admin has locked features then theres not a lot you can do to bypass unless you know the admin password.

To Quote Eset:
ESET Smart Security or ESET NOD32 Antivirus provide the option to establish a user-defined password to access program settings. If your system is part of a company network, please contact your network administrator for assistance.

1388096 2014-11-15 22:18:00 most of the operations in Nod32 are locked :-( jado0280 (17307)
1388097 2014-11-15 23:08:00 You'll need to contact your Admin at work then, its been done on purpose. wainuitech (129)

The way to fix that is to go to as many dodgy sites as possible, full the quarantine up to point of exploding. They will will happily reformat the laptop for you each week.

Or, When the laptop is running as slow as a dog & doing some weird stuff, go & do some online banking .
Then drop the laptop into the toilet, this will wash the quarenteen for you & remove history of your dodgy internet usage. When asked, just say you were checking emails when it fell in.

When presented with the companies internet usage Policy, absolutely refuse to comply (dont laugh , seen it happen)
