1388846 2014-11-30 08:17:00 with their lefty media friends . . . .

Please name the 'lefty media friends',I am sure that the left would love to know who the are . . . . I seem to remember John Armstrong of The New Zealand Herald demanding David Cunnliffes resignation over a 11 year old form letter he wrote and

. . . yet John (I can't remember) Key can commit lie after lie regarding New Zealand security, spy on 50 New Zealanders ILLEGALLY and there is no demand to bring him to account in your lefty press . Please name your lefty media friends . . . .

Ok . How about John Armstrong . Please refer to Terry's reference below - in the full article Armstrong elegantly chews John Key to pieces . Seems pretty lefty to me . Or maybe, just maybe . . . John Armstrong is a very good balanced journalist .

Which we need .

Don't get too close, else you may get covered in pig mud . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 'If you wrestle with pigs you're going to end up covered in mud - and this week that's stuck to Key . '

Yet more from DomPost . . . . . . . 'Creeping arrogance and deceit is no way to run the country '

' Key was either deliberately misleading, lying or he had another bout of brain fade . Any one of those three options is serious .

Remaining in contact with WhaleOil is more than bloody madness - it's a death wish . The reason Key misled was because the spin machine was absent . '

1388848 2014-11-30 08:55:00 Please quote where Goff has been caught telling lies . . . .

Goff claimed he was not briefed on the CH CH Israeli spy incident when he was Leader of the Opposition . He was!

Correct .

I seem to remember that he did not get briefed on that particular part . Check this well known lefty news source . . .

Have you read Cheryl Gwyn's report? No problem because most people haven't . It is very well written and she must be a likely High Court judge .

Phil Goff did not lie . He simply forgot but apparently that human frailty is not allowed for politicians, given the cynicism regarding the PM .

There was the normal briefing on 14 March 2011 by the SIS Director to the PM and the Leader of the Opposition . Always secret, no document copies leave the room . In the Summary document there was an SIR (Security Intelligence Report) reference to Israelis in Christchurch . Phil Goff read the summary . The Director (Tucker) says he orally mentioned the Israeli presence as he talked to both Goff and Key but it was in passing and not emphasised . Because there was nothing critical about it .

So Phil Goff had the opportunity (he was reading the Summary as we'd expect him to) to be aware of this specific SIR but the Director of the SIS did not draw specific attention to it .

Phil understandably later forgot this and ultimately was politically embarrassed . The current Director of the SIS has apologised because Tucker in releasing info to Whaleoil in 2014 mislead not only Goff but the PM as well . Tucker should have explained that the Israeli issue had been a non-starter in security terms and wasn't actively discussed in a to-and-fro between the three of them, even though it was on the table .

The main finding was that the SIS had been dragged momentarily into the political sphere and should have resisted . Essentially that meant Phil Goff calling Tucker a liar, and being a senior public servant Tucker had to accept the defamation and stay silent .

There are other important issues such as release to Whaleoil and the integrity of the PM's office but enough for now .

1388849 2014-11-30 22:47:00 Key seems to be saying now, that exposing the dirty politics of the right, is in itself dirty politics by the left, and by saying both sides do dirty politics by way of excuse, is thereby admitting that the right do dirty politics.

The big difference is of course, that the Dirty Politics coming out of the PM's office was laid bare by the emails taken from Slater's site.

On reflection, I'm inclining to the view Slater was advised to fall on his sword, especially after re-reading the chapter The Crusher and The Attack Dog :), after all admitting few more lies ? could not further harm his reputation could it ?

1388852 2014-12-01 04:02:00 The leverage Slater has over Key . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Today Matthew Hooton shed some light on why Key keeps in close contact with the apparently toxic Slater . Talking on Radio NZ's Nine-to-Noon he argued that Key is making a perfectly logical choice to try to stay in Slater's good books out of fear of what could happen if Slater became his enemy . If Slater and Key fell out then the blogger could go nuclear, dishing the ultimate dirt on Dirty Politics, according to Hooton .

And so it goes on and on . . . . . . . . . . as Harold Wilson said 'A week is a long time in politics' .

Given that almost everyone accepts Slater lies, then it fits that if he were burnt by the PM, he would/could come up with more lies, this time against the PM.
As most people would agree, once mud is thrown (truth or not) it tends to stick. This is the ploy that both Labour and the Greens have used for years, and they don't seem to get that the general public can see right though it and are sick of it. The only people really taking any notice are the news media.

1388854 2014-12-01 05:14:00 Hooo Boy!!!!!

Did the Teflon Twit ever get a roasting in the weekend papers .

John Armstrong (john . armstrong@nzherald . co . nz) filled 3 columns with his insightful analysis of Joker Key's memory lapses! All factual, no supposition, and he ripped him to shreds .

Fran O'Sullivan wrote in a similar vein, noting that his lapses of memory defied credibility . She anticipates that he will come under increasing fire from Andrew Little, who is just the man to take him on, intellectually (no contest) and verbally, and from whom JK will find there is no escape in the House .

Finally, Steve Braunias did a magnificent stitch-up in his 'Secret Diary of John Key' . It is great humour, but with a subtle core of absolute truth .

I figure that Key will have to find some new friends, the old ones are deserting the sinking ship .

It will take time, but it will happen! He's the National Party's 'Kim Banks': double-trouble in a pint-sized pack, and with a corrupt-storage memory bank .

Won't our Ford Lover be pleased!

Cheers

PS There was a great cartoon out there as well, I'll see if I can find it .
