1388836 2014-11-29 02:32:00 Strange I really like Cam Slater and follow his blog and participate more than this left leaning commie forum. Worked out why a lot of the commies here are IT people and they have a known predisposition to be commies.

Unfortunately slater lost any respect when he started moaning about being illegally hacked, As he has being known to have broken laws of quite a few occasions. Take the moral high ground but make sure your closet is clean first.
And you do realise he has admitted to being mentally unstable

1388838 2014-11-29 03:26:00 It is just possible, just conceivable, that Whale Oil fell on his sword in order to exonerate his friend Collins from the accusations of undermining Serious Fraud CEO Adam Feeley contained in the WO email...."An email from Slater, dated in 2011, obtained and released by Prime Minister John Key, implicated Collins in the smear against Feeley, saying she had been "gunning" for him."

"In an interview Collins told Chisholm she believed Slater had made the comments up. Slater agreed he had."
"He also acknowledged that the statement the minister was 'feeding information' to him was untrue and not based on anything that the minister had said."

Either way it shows, putting it mildly, the bloke is a self confessed liar and not to be trusted.

1388839 2014-11-29 22:22:00 Well, we both know they were somewhat to the right of Genghis Khan :clap

An extract from the Spectator.
This brings me to another puzzle of ideological classification. The phrase is often used by thoughtless people, TV interviewers, tabloid columnists, etc. ‘He is even to the right of Genghis Khan.’ The implication is that Genghis Khan is on the extreme right of the political spectrum. What is the origin of this belief? And when did the phrase come into use? I believe it is hardly more than half a century old. Hitler, again, is to blame. He is seen, falsely, as the epitome of ‘the Right’. He is also seen, more accurately, as a mass killer on an unprecedented scale. Before the 20th century, the classical perpetrator of terrorist massacre, pillage and the destruction of cities was Genghis Khan. He was not, however, seen as a political figure of either left or right — just as a savage barbarian. Hitler, however, was linked with him as a mass killer, and therefore Genghis took on Hitler’s political colouration. In fact, Stalin killed more people than Hitler, and Mao twice as many again, 70 million at the latest count. So logically, Genghis should have taken on this political colouration, and the phrase should run, ‘He’s even to the left of Genghis Khan.’

1388840 2014-11-29 22:28:00 Now you have gone and spoilt a good saying, we will have to think of someone else :) Terry Porritt (14)
1388841 2014-11-29 23:01:00 From Massey University, and I really think it should be brought to Key and Collins’ attention. Quite why they are exchanging communications with Slater defies belief, unless he has something on them.

Anyway, my bet is Key will relinquish the leadership about midway through his term, after all, he has already got to pat the Queens Corgi and play golf with Obama.

Notes on biology:

Slaters are mainly scavengers. They are omnivorous, feeding on a variety of decaying vegetation, tree bark, rotting wood, etc. Slaters may also graze on fungi associated with decay, or consume dead animal matter, such as dead insects or larger animal carcasses. Ant associates feed on ant droppings and fungi. Although slaters usually feed on dead and decaying vegetable matter and do not attack living plants, they can sometimes eat seedlings and root vegetables, or take advantage of fallen fruit previously damaged by birds or insects. Chemical control against isopods is not necessary – frequent removal of decaying plants and other hiding places will keep them away.
Many animals – small mammals, birds, centipedes, ground beetles – will eat terrestrial isopods. The spider Dysdera crocata, often found in New Zealand gardens, is said to prey on slaters almost exclusively. In defence, some slaters secrete a noxious fluid, which makes them distasteful and repels predators.

1388842 2014-11-30 02:05:00 Given that Mr G Khan spent a good portion of his life invading westwards 'To the right of GK' would mostly now be called Russia.

1388844 2014-11-30 07:39:00 National kept this very Quiet:

The UK (terrorism alert: Severe) and Australia (terrorism alert: High) are allowing months for public consultation on new laws related to terror threats . The National Party are giving New Zealanders (terrorism alert: Low) a single day because they want to ram these laws through before Christmas .

That isn't accurate Wainui . One reason is that Britain already has more stringent anti-terrorism laws than New Zealand . Britain (the birthplace of US, Oz, and NZ law) doesn't even have the absolute right to silence anymore . We do .

Your central point regarding haste: consider the UK Anti-terrorism, Crime and Security Act 2001 . Introduced by the British Labour Government on 19 November 2001 it was enacted on 26 November 2001 . No mucking about . A Labour government .

Since then a further screed of legislation has been passed in the UK .

I thought Prefect and Slater could have been “One” but "careful checking" has revealed that Slater has never been able to fit “Commie” ten times into one sentence. ;)
