On a material basis there are much wealthier countries to live in, no argument. Even Australia is better. Nevertheless when you come to value a place which is uncrowded and benign, then New Zealand is the jewel of all countries. It isn't perfect but it is the best on the globe and a mere 4 million of us share it. As I write I'm struggling to think of a single ugly place anywhere here. Every one of us can locate a peaceful beautiful spot ten minutes drive away. So true if culture is not a requirement. |
