Once done and saved, then go back to the main Window Of Nod32, Click on Computer Scan > Custom Scan> change to Indepth Scan: 6464 Make sure everything is ticked - Click Scan down the bottom - it will start to scan, once finished it will have either detected and removed or show the infections in a pop up Window, select them all to delete, and remove. |

They also can give false positives, confuse & feduddle by showing non-virus, non important files & leftovers from cleanups as infections . Also , sometimes they dont detect the virus/malware untill AFTER the pc is infected . ie , the virus is ~known~ to the AV, but it didnt prevent the infection for some reason. So if you AV is showing it detecting infections, go into the logs & have a look at just what it thinks is a virus/malware and have a look at where those files are. It may just be a non-event (maybe not) Admittedly, some AV programs hide the log files & quarantine lists deep under submenus where its near impossible to find. |

I manage quite well with free options but a better A/V like NOD32 does help reduce the amount of problems you'll have to deal with. |
