| 1388422 | 2014-11-22 20:17:00 | Well whether the temperature rises 0.3°C or 1.7°C over the next 100 years none of us will ever know. :( Ive even had one Greenie assure me that the Equinox was getting later and later and that was reason for panic. Naturally I suggested an Equinox Tax, which seemed to please him. But given a worst case scenario of all the Ice Caps melting, the Polar Bears becoming a Grizzly Bears, Islands flooding etc etc how the hell is a Tax going to remedy the situation? Beats me. |

Also, whether or not you believe in climate change being at least partly affected by human actions, and whether you believe their should be a form of tax on emissions are two different questions. Finally, just because very few of us alive today will be alive in a hundred years makes no difference to whether or not climate change is occurring. |

Well instead of mucking around fudging the argument, how about explaining how Carbon Tax will solve this dreaded problem. |

I just said that believing in climate change, and that human actions are at least partly affecting climate change, is a separate issue from whether you agree with an emissions tax, and you go linking the two back together, effectively saying you must either believe in both or neither. You're on fine form today  |

And dont blame me for linking Global Warming with Carbon Tax, that was done by our intrepid Prime Minister. Actually, I believe within the next 100 years I might have Fairys in my back garden and I really should be entitled to a tax to deal with the possibility. :D |

| 1388428 | 2014-11-23 00:02:00 | The greenies answer to add carbon tax to every thing is to make it so expensive that most people can't afford to use it any longer i.e cars, power in fact anything that they seem to think generates carbon (the internet) and to hell with the economy and people lives. They would have use all going back to horse and carts if they thought they could get away with it.. | paulw (1826) | ||

I agree, and HERE (winteryknight.wordpress.com) is an interesting article from the co-founder of Greenpeace. What's more I agree with him. |

Actually, I believe within the next 100 years I might have Fairy’s in my back garden and I really should be entitled to a tax to deal with the possibility. :D You're still making a simple error. Climate change is not the same as an emissions tax, pure and simple. I will blame you, because you're the one who is doing it here. You're the one saying 'I don't like an emissions tax, so I will argue that their is no climate change'. Don't blame others for your own actions. |
