| 443453 | 2006-04-03 09:19:00 | i brought a second hand computer for the programes that were installed on it namely office 2003 , front page ,and a few other good ones about six months ago, off a reletive as they were moving over sea,s. now the problem i have is i have decided it is time to reformat and i wanted to install office and front page on my computer and give the old one to my son to play around with BUTi have not got the install cds for office etc is there any thing i can do or do i have to reformat an buy the cd |

| 443455 | 2006-04-03 18:35:00 | First run Belarc Adviser (www.belarc.com) and print out the results to get a snapshot of your system...BEFORE YOU RE-FORMAT!!!! Finding copies of those programs is easy, it's the KEYS that are hard to find. That's why you need that print-out and the keys associated with them before you delete the files. You should be able to re-use the keys after you reload the Office stuff into the machine. Now, I digress here: I got rid of Windows Office Suite in all and installed Open Office (http://www.openoffice.org/) instead. It is a lot friendlier and FREE!. |
