443171 2006-04-02 19:21:00 I just want to make sure that the temperatures are ok. I feel like I smell something heating up, but not sure if its my computer or something else in my room.

I don't think it's the GPU, since I haven't been playing any games for the past couple of days.

443172 2006-04-02 19:31:00 Your motherboard manufacturer might have a monitoring utility, and you can download free ones which do this, but a quick way is to reboot the machine and enter the BIOS. Depending upon your BIOS layout, there should be a section on hardware health which will give the CPU temperature. It may not be that accurate (+/- 5 degs) but will give you a general idea. Make sure you exit out of the BIOS without saving any changes.

If you can actually smell something hot, it may be wiring. Take a sniff at your power supply unit and see if that is the source of the smell. Monitors can also be a source of burning smells.
