| 443347 | 2006-04-03 04:45:00 | Am having some grief with an iPod and am getting this message on the PC iTunes.exe-Corrupt File The file or directory \iPod-Control\iTunes\Temp File is corrupt and unreadable. Please run the Chkdske Utility What and where is the Chkdske Utility?! XP Pro. Many thanks |

Or ditch Itunes and get Winamp, with its plugin, or download 5.21, which now supports a few players, including the Ipod. For MP3's. Thats if u dont use Itunes for Podcasting, buying songs / using the video side of it. |

OK for some of you young ones working with this stuff all the time but like my car dont have to lift the bonnet on Windows too often! Many thanks |

| 443353 | 2006-04-04 02:40:00 | If its the temp folder, thats screwing things up. Uninstall Itunes again, delete its folder in program files, delete its folder in documents and settings (u may have to tick show all files, if Itunes puts a folder here). Use ccleaner to clean the crap off the hdd, click on the issues tab in ccleaner / scan for issues, delete everything that comes up, and then reinstall Itunes again. I would also try disabling any firewalls / running AV programs (if there's an icon in the taskbar), before you install Itunes again. Then see if it'll install. |
