443147 2006-04-02 17:21:00 How To Set WebServer ?
I got 1 Planet ADE-4400 Router which support DDNS
so i go and register 1 address at dyndns.org
but i got a problem
when i go to my website... e.g. (abc.dyndns.org)
it will redirect to my "Router Configuration Website"
but not my
Webserver (with LAN IP 192.168.1.11)

i try to use Port Forwarding (Start Port:1668, End Port: 1669, IP:192.168.1.11)
but it still wont redirect to my WebServer
just keep going to the Router Config Website
PLEASE HELP!!!

443148 2006-04-02 19:42:00 Hi
What you need to do is alter Hosts file
192.168.1.11 abc.dyndns.org
Host file is located in C:/Windows/System32/Drivers/ if you use windows
/etc/hosts if you use linux
Cheers

An HTTP server runs on port 80 (normally). It looks like your configuration misses that one.

Using Tede's answer will allow you to access your webserver from within your lan; redirecting port 80 on your router will allow people from the internet (i.e. outside your lan) to get to the server.
