| 443082 | 2006-04-02 07:00:00 | my girl friends laptop makes a funny sound when she turns it on. sorta like a clicking sound near the front left before the keyboard and next to the ethernet. she put a 56k modem cord in the ethernet by accident. is it possible this could have ruined it? when she turns it on it says BENQ on the screen but doesn't do anything else. | 443083 | 2006-04-02 11:05:00 | Probably just the harddrive has up and left the building. So it doesn't do anything but show the BenQ (which I am assumung is the computer manufacturer) logo? Incidentally, putting the modem plug into the ethernet connection shouldn't have blown anything up. And if it is the harddrive, I am guessing its been sloow booting recently, with the same noise, just not as bad? |
