| 443886 | 2006-04-04 23:52:00 | If you're using the latest version of the PVR program from 30/3/06, (For the Deluxe and the Expert TV tuners), its a bit screwed . 1 . If you try and change a channel name, you can't . The backspace or delete keys dont work . The backspace key, instead of deleting the text, changes the channel lol . And only the letter keys work, numbers don't . 2 . If you let the program tune the channels for you, or tune them in yourself, even tho you can add more than 7 channels in, if you quit the PVR program and go back in, any channels you've tuned in after CH 7, will be fuzzy (even tho you've just tuned in the channels) . I had to uninstall the PVR program (the latest version), and reinstall it in safe mode . That was the only way I could get all the channels I tuned in, to stick . However, this doesnt fix changing the channel names . So, Leadtek now know about these programming "glitches" and have tested and confirmed that the above "glitches" exist . And the fixes will be in the next release (they didnt say WHEN, this will be) . |

| 443888 | 2006-04-05 01:10:00 | No worries . If you do decide to update the program, MAKE SURE you also update the drivers . (The Deluxe drivers were a tad tricky to install than the previous drivers as well) . As the later versions of the PVR program (If you use the FM tuner side) wont work with the earlier versions of the drivers . (So, I found out, when I updated the program without installing the later drivers) . The only version I've had probs with is the one on the site now (30/3/06) . With the probs in the previous post I posted . The other versions have been fine / were fine . What I usually do, is uninstall the previous version, delete its folder, delete the leadtek entries in the registry, then reboot . You can also delete the Winfast Workarea folder (if there's nothing in it before you reboot) . It'll be recreated . Once you reboot and reinstall the later version . Once thing you dont do, is install the PVR program from within the zip file from the site . Extract the files in the zip file first, before you install it . I found that, it cant or wont show you, that its creating the Winfast Workarea folder, (on the biggest hdd / partition you've got), when you're installing the program . And if you dont see the part where it shows its creating the folder, it'll usually crash / or wont work properly, after you've installed the program . |
