443742 2006-04-04 08:09:00 It looks like a phishing email / scam.

I doubt it has anything to do with you, since you're nowhere near the U.S.

Delete it.

443745 2006-04-04 09:03:00 I doubt it has anything to do with you, since you're nowhere near the U.S.Even if you lived right next door to the bank and was customer, that sort of email is classical of a phishing letter. :)

The Chase Manhattan Bank must be getting a fair bit of it as they have quite an extensive section on how to deal with these emais - see here (www.chase.com)

443746 2006-04-04 09:45:00 I've had one of those messages but "from" the Bank of America. It was the most well made spam I've ever seen. They'd actually gone to the trouble of producing a realistic looking email and the whois of the website was created to look like it was from the Bank of America. Most spammers don't go to all that trouble. I was actually impressed, then I deleted the email. :D joshjnz (7844)

These spams are made, to make people think the emails / and link in it are real.

And people who are unaware of what phishing is, will click on the link, if they belong to the bank. So, in the end, you end up with no money.
