444007 2006-04-05 21:57:00 You didnt update the BIOS / change anything in the BIOS recently did you?

Is anything else thats USB, plugged into the ports and working?

444008 2006-04-05 22:27:00 i just tested my WebCam and it worked fine... I honestly dont think i know how to mess with the BIOS. Maybe something happened to it though... is there a way to check to see it is alright? Steelers82kk (10143)
444009 2006-04-05 22:34:00 The BIOS will be alright.

Or else you wouldnt be in Windows, the cam wouldnt work, and the hard drives and whatever is in the case, wouldnt work either.

I wld try another cable first. If that doesnt fix it, we'll think of something else!

444010 2006-04-06 01:59:00 I got a new cable and the problem still exists... idk what to do now :waughh: Steelers82kk (10143)
444011 2006-04-06 04:35:00 Did you install XP and the SP recently, or just the SP??

Did you build/make this system up yourself, or buy it as a system??

If you made it up, I would reinstall the motherboard drivers, if u recently installed XP and SP2 .

When u used system restore (depending on how far u went back), it may have wiped the mobo drivers, that are needed .

I would also go thru device manager, and see if there are any entries with a ? in it . If there is, whats it say?

444012 2006-04-06 04:44:00 I only installed SP2

I bought it as a system

When I did system Restore I only went back one day

Everything in the Device Manager is perfect with no ?'s

This is driving me crazy :badpc: ... It works on my friends computer with no problem...

444013 2006-04-06 04:53:00 But something did happen to my drivers when i did the system restore cuz i had to reinstall everything that i plugged into my USB... of coarse everything worked fine after except my psp... It installed good and said its ready to use but it wont show up for me to access it.... Steelers82kk (10143)
444014 2006-04-06 04:58:00 Try deleting all the entries under USB controllers. In device manager.

Then reboot, all of the entries will come back. See what happens then.
