| 444067 | 2006-04-05 06:51:00 | My poor monitor... it's done its job so valiantly for many years. Over 5 anyway. It's a ViewSonic GS771. CRT. Recently it started to occasionally stay blank but with the green light on upon booting the computer. Turning it off and on a few times would bring it back to life. But it did it more and more often, and it would take more and more on/offs to get it to go, until... no more. I've tried it on another computer: same symptoms. An old small monitor I have works on both PCs. So. It makes the normal clink-bzz sound CRTs make upon starting. The light goes green. But no picture. Can it be resurrected? Atreides |
