443561 2006-04-03 20:52:00 Hi, i was trying to find some place for help so i figured a forum could help.
I recently set a new password for a game (and this may sound like the dumbest thing a person could do) and i went to sleep and the next day i simply forgot the password. I tried to recover the password from the "I forgot my password" link but i didn't "have enough information" for them to send my password back because they needed to verify i was the rightful owner of the account. :badpc:
I can' imagine how stupid i am feeling right now, but im sure someone could help me?

Edit- Oh god, i forgot to mention my question. I was wondering if in your computer in some file does it store your keystrokes? :waughh:

443562 2006-04-03 22:01:00 Keystrokes wouldn't be recorded as a standard for windows to prevent posible privacy violations. You would have to have had a program running to record them. If it was for a game, you can always call the manufacturers of the game, and have them send an email to the email you signed up with. I know for Dark Age of Camelot, my friend forgot their password, and thats how they figured it out.. TiJay (6055)
443563 2006-04-03 22:14:00 Barbari, it might be easiest to create a new account with a fresh username and password.

And yeah, it's possible to record keystrokes, but not by default. It would require a third party application to do it. If this is the main issue behind your query, then running a couple of anti-spyware and/or anti-virus programmes can detect most if not all such keyloggers.
