| 445221 | 2006-04-09 12:06:00 | Hey, I'm back with yet another problem. Basicly, while on my internet, there are some pictures that come up as just "X" and some that come up all messed up. I was here about a month ago(i think) with a similer problem. I deactivated a firewall and it seemed to be working.. except for this.. So, I download a bunch of antispy/adwhere type of stuff and the only thing that finds anything is Windows Defender.. It finds 3 files which are all located in the System Volume Information.. however it will not let the defender delete them.. i keep getting an error message.. what gives? Any ideas? PS- I already reinstalled all the drivers. AMD 64 3200, ASUS A8N-E, ATI 700 Radon, 200GB SATA hard drive, 1024MB ram, Windows XP home SP2. |

| 445224 | 2006-04-09 12:23:00 | I read on PF1 once that these no-show pictures can sometimes be coaxed out of the woodwork by right clicking on the box with the x and making a selection from the pop-up menu. I can't remember what the label of the option was but I think it was something obvious. HTH |

| 445226 | 2006-04-09 22:06:00 | As regards to you being unable to get defender to delete those files. That is because they are locked up in the restore files. To clear them , you will have to turn off the restore function, restart computer, then turn on restore again. This will lose those files safely, but will also delete all your restore points. At this stage, it would be advisable to make a new restore point. | pheonix (36) | ||
| 445227 | 2006-04-09 23:22:00 | Wow, good going! I think its fixed. Atleast in Firefox. I still cannot get IE to work properly, but from what i hear Firefox is better. I like it better myself anyway. Thanks a lot for the help.. I'll keep you guys posted! BTW, I find that internet transfer rate starts fast, and then goes down every second.. this happens everytime i download somthing.. Is this normal? |
