445120 2006-04-09 04:56:00 :help: My system uses Windows XP, and I use Outlook 2002. I have been fiddling (don't ask...), and now have lost the ability to receive emails - I get a message "The operation failed". I can see emails sitting there in Mailwasher, but no access to them. The same message comes up when trying to send emails - but then they go anyway!

I repaired Outlook, supposedly successful, but no change.

Some enlightenment would be appreciated. :)

Cheers

They should be the same as those set in your Mailwasher accounts.

445123 2006-04-09 05:12:00 As you are unable to send or receive emails, possibly you have wiped the email account settings. If this is so try reestablishing the settings again. From memory go to Tools accounts(email accounts) if you see an your account sitting there Click on it to highlight it, then right click and choose properties. Check the settings there pop3 server and smtp.
pop3.your provider eg pop.ihug.co.nz; smtp.ihug.co.nz. Also type in your password. back out and then try to get your emails
