| 445907 | 2006-04-26 20:53:00 | If youre wanting to get in and backup some files to another drive/partition, get hold of a linux LiveCD (Knoppix is the main one I use currently). It will boot into a gui environment *using the RAM) so it doesnt install anything,. It will pick up partitions you have on the harddrive, and allow access to them to copy/paste to another drive. Once you have copied needed files, leave the environment, throw in your win cd, and do the new install. Make sure your BIOS is set to boot from CD first. |
