445838 2006-04-12 01:25:00 Hi Manik, welcome to the forum....

You have 2nd monitor connected yes, what is the issue?, have you enabled NView?. Go to advanced button on setting tab. Check options there

445839 2006-04-12 01:50:00 Cheers mate,

Ive downloaded the latest nvidia drivers, nview is fully installed. Though there is no option for 'extend my desktop', only one screen is shownunder the settings tab (see link). When both monitors are plugged in they are cloned but there is no option under nview (been though it a million times) to change from clone.
Its like it doesnt reconize the second monitor is there even though its there and working fine.

Could it be related to DVI by any chance? (again see link)

Much appreciated.

445840 2006-04-12 02:26:00 ok, so both monitors are seen by windows but rather than spanning, it is cloning yes?.
if so, from advance (from setting tab), go to nview tab, then select standard, then ok, then once reconfigured, you are at setting tab again, you should seen (display) showing 2 monitors, click on 2nd monitor, then put tick on extend my windows desktop

445841 2006-04-12 03:07:00 No luck mate its as if windows only reconizes the primary monitor. Under nview, the first screen I see is 'Display Mode Timing'.

If I tick the TV detection box and restart the Display Mode Timing option goes and a more promising screen appears showing a drop down menu - only Single display is selectable.

When pressing 'Detect Displays', both screens show '1'. The second monitor is getting a signal but it looks as if Windows doesn't see it.

445843 2006-04-13 03:07:00 Still lost with what you have at present, both monitors working but cloned? SolMiester (139)
445844 2006-04-13 03:49:00 Dualview is not supported on Geforce 3 cards.

Wikipedia states:

"The second revisions, the GeForce 3 Ti500 and Ti200 were released in October 2001, at around the same time as ATI's top-line Radeon 8500 and 7500. The Ti500 had higher core and memory clocks (250 Core/500 Memory), and was designed to outperform the Radeon 8500; initially the Ti500 held the upper hand but eventually the 8500's driver improvements enabled it to reach and even surpass the Ti500 in some cases. In addition, the 8500 was significantly cheaper than the Ti500 and carried dual-monitor support which the entire GeForce 3 series lacked."
