446199 2006-04-14 07:01:00 Hi there

Id like to place a resticted committee only webpage on a club website and would like some advice on how to do this.

Off the top of my head, I could simply create and name a webpage cmmttee.htm and leave it at that. I notice I have private folder on my webserver and I guess that is where this info should be stored.

How do I go about restricting access to a webpage to only those with a password or username and password.

Comments & suggestions welcome.

Thanks..........John in Mosgiel.

446202 2006-04-14 07:38:00 Many hosts will provide this for you, if not its a relativly simple process assuming you are hosted on apache.

Heres how you can DIY:
