446042 2006-04-13 04:06:00 In a TOOLBAR review their is an advanced TOOLBAR at
http://www.advancedtoolbar.com
It claims to be much better than GOOGLE YAHOO or MSN.
Have any of the members tried it?
I would like to try but am suspicious but as it was advertised in PCWORLD it was only an advert and not a recommendation. Happy days....

446043 2006-04-13 19:06:00 I personally am not one to use toolbar, the only one I use is a secure autofiller toolbar that completes forms (I hate typing my email address 40 times, name 16 times, password 9 times, and all that info repeatedly...) called Roboform

if you go to Download.com you can find it there...it is however a $15 program, but the 30 day trial is the full program for you to check out. As for Google, Yahoo, or MSN toolbar, I wouldn't know...

from the site, it's showing a calender, which your computer already has 2(system tray, and whatever email program you use), A news ticker...I wouldn't pay any attention to it, as it would do nothing but waste my processor, Adult content blocker...c'mon...I like my porn...don't take it from me...Spyware remover, most of these toolbars ARE spyware...they track your internet traffic so they can show adds that reflect what you use the internet for...albeit not a malicious spyware, but how do you think they keep it free? Homepage protector...I use Firefox and Opera...I used to use Internet Explorer...each of those 3 have that built in(IE with the service packs and security updates from microsoft.com) Browser Tracks Eraser? I'd begin to guess that has something to do with cookies or history...i don't think it will be able to remove cookies but I don't want it in my harddrive where passwords(again, nothing important, but privacy nonetheless) are kept for a website 'remembering you' File shredder? It's called delete...Add buttons for software/webpages, well, I can do that on Firefox and Opera, and I'm pretty sure IE6 can do it too...though I haven't tried...A screen Saver Launcher? something that...launches a screensaver? If i'm correct - most computers nowadays come with something that does that...called an OS...

nothing there is very usefull to me, and as I mentioned before, they ARE spyware...I don't want to store passwords, logins, and other information in their autofill form...with Roboform, I have tested, and found quite assuredly that it is not spyware, and does not gather information about my travels on the internet that could make a marine blush...

:P Hope that helps
