| 446255 | 2006-04-14 07:25:00 | Hi, Few years ago I went from Nokia Ni500 to Alcatel Speedtouch Pro 4 port router. Has performed flawlessy since. I have just had my adsl speed increased to 3.5Mb/s. I tested speed several times and dismayed at the speed - the best I could get was about 1.2Mb/s. Emailed ISP and they suggested a few things after checking my connection as they could find no fault. Borrowed friends Dlink 302 - speed now hits 2Mb/s regularly. I need the router for kids computer but want to know if there are any settings that can be tweaked on the alcatel. The only thing I have ever done with this modem is access it via 10.0.0.138 and entered username and password. If not then is it possible to connect a Dlink 302g (I can get a Dlink 302g for free from another friend) to this router so by using both devices I can have the speed and network. Cheers |
