| 446199 | 2006-04-14 07:01:00 | Hi there Id like to place a resticted committee only webpage on a club website and would like some advice on how to do this. Off the top of my head, I could simply create and name a webpage cmmttee.htm and leave it at that. I notice I have private folder on my webserver and I guess that is where this info should be stored. How do I go about restricting access to a webpage to only those with a password or username and password. Comments & suggestions welcome. Thanks..........John in Mosgiel. |

| 446204 | 2006-04-14 09:42:00 | there are some free java scripts that you can download that can achieve this but they are not to secure and easy to break ( like one site that embeded the password into the javascript code) gatekeeper (www.pagetutor.com) is one | beama (111) | ||
