| 446729 | 2006-04-16 13:50:00 | ok i have a dlink router that connect me to the internet and a free ethernet port, i want to plug my xbox360 into the ethernet port and set it up so that the xbox is connected threough that port and using the router to get onto the internet, since its only a single pc router i cant jsut wire it straight through how do i set this up, neither the xbox or ethernet port can get an ip from each other and i dont know how to set em up so they both work, someone pelase help me asap. |

| 446730 | 2006-04-16 21:00:00 | I have the same thing except not an Xbox 360, I have just another boring PC, BUT it should be the same hopefully. On your PC have you enabled Internet Connection Sharing? from the port connected to the modem? (Control pannel, network connections, right click on internet adapter, properties, advanced, tick the 2 boxs under the Internet Connection Sharing box) That should set it up so the PC has 192.168.0.1 or something to that effect |
