| 447518 | 2006-04-19 04:22:00 | I've tried following the windows guide but doesn't seem to work go figgar!! went into disck management right clicked on free space and nadda zipp. All I want to do is creat a nother partition for ntfs so I can do other stuff. If anyone can I would appreciate the help Cheers :help: :help |

| 447519 | 2006-04-19 04:37:00 | Well, if u have no space, on the hdd, you cant create another partition . And I dont think u can create another partition, even if you did have space . Unless you partition it with Partitionmagic or something, or format the hdd from a clean install, and create another partition on the XP setup screen . Thats if you use 2000, XP + . Since, u want to format in NTFS . |

| 447521 | 2006-04-19 04:55:00 | You may have a lot of crap on the hard drive . Get ccleaner (http://www . ccleaner . com) and it'll clean temp files etc off the hdd . How many GB is c: ?? Out of the 30 GB?? You need the XP cd, and you have to go into the BIOS and change the bootdisk to cd, put the cd in, then save the BIOS settings . Then wait for the XP setup to come up, partition on the setup screen / install XP . Wait for Xp to finish installing . Don't make the main partition too small tho . 30 GB isnt that much when you're using XP . Since XP needs 1 . 5 GB of hdd space, just for installation . |
