2006-04-20 07:07:00 | I would tick those entries in the last post I posted anyway. Get ccleaner (http://www.ccleaner.com) Download it / install it and run it. To get rid of the rubbish on the hard drive. I would ring Orcon to see if theyre having any network probs. Or with people disconnecting.

2006-04-20 07:44:00 | If you've run ccleaner, it may have removed c:/documents and settings/local settings/temp internet files/ content ies/olyrk50j/jre-1_5_0_0_6 windows i 586-pfw[1]exe Umm, the log looks clean now. BUT you can run hijackthis again, tick this entry and tick fix checked. It isnt needed in startup. O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [SunJavaUpdateSched] C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.5.0_06\bin\jusched.exe If you're still disconnecting, I would say the modem itself is the prob. Replace the modem. They do die after so long. They only cost $15-20.00 I had a similar prob with dynalink 56k modems. One of them used to cut off after 15-20 mins. So, I replaced them with Intel hardware based modems. And they're fine now.

2006-04-20 11:03:00 | And I presume you have ticked/unticked the setting that says to disconnect after 15 minutes if no activity? I know it is simple, but sometimes the obvious is overlooked. | supergran (108) | |
2006-04-20 11:21:00 | Samething supergrand. smilely_leo should have check his modem setting and use norton system works to keep the connection alive if he has one of those software. Sometimes software error is the most complicated thing and making the wrong choice replacing something before checking it. | MTLance (6768) | |

2006-04-20 22:46:00 | gidday, Outlook express can sometimes cause dail up to disconnect if it is set to check mail at a certain time, it tries to dail out even though you are connected, and this causes the drop off . I havn't used express for sometime so I'm a bit foggy as to where to check, but try tools and then options, go through the tabs, and disable anything that may be causing express to dail out . cheers, Robby
