448160	2006-04-21 02:04:00	I own a P4 3.0Ghz PC HT (3006mhz X2) and it used to logon really fast. i added it to a domain at dads work only because i liked the ctrl +alt +del combo to log in. (stupid yes but it works) now the pc takes a long time to finish loading. all the icon pop up fast but i click on the start menu and nothing happens for 5mins then it pops up. the only things that loads on startup is Avast! Professional antivirus 4.6. Dialup: i dwelling in a sleepout i have a phoneline which is connected to the same one as the house, but most of the time the phone line is "busy" or no dialtone, but no one is using the line inside, yet at the same time the pc inside can connect to the interent with no problems anytime of day. i can very rarely get on for more than 15mins. should i ring telecom?	aidanmaz (7180)
448161	2006-04-21 02:17:00	Then undo the domain logon. Its probably dodgy wiring to the sleepout. How long is the cable? Is there a proper jackpoint or are you uisng a loooonnng cable? Modems don't like long cables. Is it getting wet? What does a phone connected to it sound like? ANy crackles etc? That would indicate the modem will have a problem. Telecom will charge to fix your wiring. Best to do it yourself or hire some non-Telecom associated comapny.	pctek (84)

448163	2006-04-21 03:00:00	the phone wire from pc to phone jack is just under 50cm! the pc is basically next to it. the area floods a lot and the line doesnt work in the wet. it was all wired up when the house was purchased, distance from house to sleepout, 5-10m. il remove from the domain, but is there anyway to have the ctrl alt del? i really like it.	aidanmaz (7180)
