| 447948 | 2006-04-20 11:02:00 | This month has been terrible. About 2 months ago my hard drive failed on my old gaming rig. Since im at uni, i didnt have time to go home and fix it up so i told my parents to bring it to the local pc shop in Winton. The guy relised that the hard drive failed, so he replaced it with a 40GB, the old one was 40GB aswell. He installed windows, didnt even install sp2, didnt install any drivers, so parents couldnt go on net. Since my parents arent very good with computers they couldnt use it until i fixed it. The guy charged $250 for the job, for this kind of money i would have expected a fully working pc, and a bigger hard drive. While trying to install the graphics card drivers, it would not install. Yes i did have the right drivers. Windows would boot, but once it got to the log in screen, it froze, the image was distorted, and it would shut down. I tried everything. So im guessing its failed, or near faulty. Screw it. When hooking up my two cd drives, the pc does not boot at all, but disconnecting one, it boots. So it must be low on power or something, its a 250W i belive, something is obviously wrong. Meh, im totally sick of this heap of junk, ive just changed it to intergrated graphics and its working good now i think. Atleast i still have my laptop  |

| 447949 | 2006-04-20 11:12:00 | Same here I need to fix PC's for my parents use. PC shop is useless. At lease have few comp standby if anything happen. Don't have time to fix ask them to use other PC first. Don't let them replace the HDD for you because it is unless, it is better for you buy a new one with at least 1 year warranty make sure it is not old. PC shop are ripoff area. Sometime they replace a secondhand HDD. They are useless because I always don't get what I want. One time during school time I have no time to fix the PC and the PC have serious file error and viruses and spyware attacking and my Internet explorer is blocked so my parents can't use it and then to the PC Shop to fix and they did nothing for $40. | MTLance (6768) | ||
