2006-04-20 03:59:00 | Hi, I recently upgraded my graphics card from a 128MB PCIe(TM) x16 ATI Radeon(TM) X300 SE w/TV-Out & DVI to a GECUBE X1300 HDMI Audio& Video Output 256MB DDR2 HyperMemory to 512MB Edition. Both are for PCI Express x16 and both have a VGA, DVI and S-Video Output. however when i changed my graphics card to the x1300 and turned the computer back on the monitor would just stay in standby mode like the computer wasnt on at all. When i put the X300 back in the monitor worked fine again. The Screen Only goes into standby/power saver mode with the X1300. I have a Dimension 8400 Pentuim 4 3.2Gh 800Mh 2M Cache Power Output Wattage: 350 Watts Input Voltage (auto-sensing): 90 to 135V at 50/60 Hz; or 180 to 265 V at 50/60 Hz Heat Dissipation: 460.7 BTU/hour (fully loaded computer without monitor) Backup Battery: 3.0 V CR2032 coin cell 1.5GB of Ram (3 DDR2 533MHz SDRAM) 3 PCi Slots 1 PCi-E x16 slot 1 PCi-E x1 slot And i Have a 17" Dell E173FP (Flat pannel) VGA Monitor Can Anyone Please Tell me what is causing this and how i can fix it?

2006-04-20 05:42:00 | Ive tried Both VGA and DVI connections. When the computer boots up the monitor displays nothing at all, it just stays in standby. I've tried using the old card and the monitor works fine, ive also met the recommended power requirements for the card (350w) but the screen still stays black, doesnt even show the bios. | mikho928 (10250) | |
2006-04-20 05:48:00 | heh, i seem to be having the same problem with my brothers 9600, pc boots up fine and logs into windows, then randomly monitor goes into standby. I think its the drivers, so im getting the latest ones and then see if it works. [edit] come again your problem is different to mine.... :illogical

2006-04-20 05:53:00 | I Cant even tell if the pc boots up cause the monitor doesnt turn on at all. The pc isnt beeping and none of the warning lcds are on either so i think the pc does boot up. The new Graphics card just doesnt display anything, not even the bios screen just stays in standby mode like if the computer wasnt on.

2006-04-20 06:04:00 | Its propperly inserted into the slot, the onbard fan of the card even spins when the computer is powered on. I cant test it in another comp though cause my other computer doesnt support PCi-E only PCI.
