| 448010 | 2006-04-20 21:17:00 | HP 722a system running Windows XP Home - Installing a Sony DRU 810A DVD drive in addition to existing CD Rom player/recorder. No problems installing drive, set pins to slave but when system powered up, the DVD tray pops out and will not stay closed - keeps opening. System recognised new hardware and allocated new drive letter etc. There is nothing pressing on eject button causing problem. Any ideas what may be causing tray to keep opening? If no ideas, can only assume drive is faulty and will return to retailer for a replacement. Cheers |
