I guess you have to think of Telecom as Communist, just drip feeding the peasants little bit's of technology when it looks like might get there hand smacked, Looks like Telecom and what is going on at the moment makes me think their infrastructure can't handle the pressure , I would say change is a must. Well I guess the problem is what would you do if you were Telecom? Maybe the real problem stems from the clowns who sold the company in the first place. All this profit pouring out of the country instead of the Govt just reinvesting back into our telecomunications. Maybe the money to invest wasn't there back in the day... but do we have a kick butt NZ wide network? nope. Like one of the writers at PC World said... the local wired loop ain't gonna cut it. Never could understand why would you sell stuff that creates massive revenue? So what would it cost to lay fiber to every home, business etc??? Funny thing, my dail up seemed to come right last night and is ok today. I'll give it a few days before I say to Orcon... I'll take your credit and stick with you for now. Be interesting to see if they have fixed anything. I haven't heard anything. |

Economic zeolots, who shall remain unnamed, you know who they are, (clue: R.D. & R.P.) fooled into selling off NZ by the "big boys" overseas for short term profits instead of medium and long term planning for the future. |
