| 1401683 | 2015-05-31 02:44:00 | Running Firefox v38.0.1. I have installed Ghostery to get rid of trackers and it is doing a good job except I cant get rid of Double Click. Have googled and tried various suggestions to no avail. Anyone got any suggestions please?. |

You can block Double Click in your Hosts file. www.winhelp2002.mvps.org If you download and install the mvps Hosts file it blocks a zillion Double Click sites. If you dont want to have the whole file you could copy and paste just the Double Click entries into your Hosts file. Edit: just counted, approximately 100 double click sites blocked |

| 1401685 | 2015-05-31 04:00:00 | Ghostery certainly blocks doubleclicik - no need to go messing with host files You probably just have default settings? I posted a while ago how to ste the config, I'll paste it here for you - I'm sure you'll have no trouble with double click or anything else then 1. Click the Ghostery icon and then click the gear (cog?) top right- then the 'options' tab on the left of the pane that opens. 2. That will open a new window with the 'General' tab selected - Down the third part of the page there is 'Blocking Options' 3. In the "Trackers" panel, you will see buttons to 'Select All' 'Select none' etc..... press the 'Select All' 4. Click the 'Cookies' Tab, and click the 'Select All' in there as well Go to the bottom of the page and click the 'Save' (I would have the 'Enable tracker library auto-updating' selected so it keeps up with the latest trackers to block) The other config options are in the 'advanced' tab - where the info balloon pops up and how long it stays etc. Cheers |
