1401527 2015-05-28 20:52:00 Hello everyone, this is my very first post, and i'm doing it because I really am worried about my pc fan.

My pc is a Acer Predator g3-605, im gonna put here the link so you can see the specs!

So, the problem i'm getting here, as i said, was about my FAN,
it works really fine in any kind of RPM, i tested it on every RPM's (manually) and it works FINE! Except between 1500-1600 RPM

I don't know what should be this problem, since it works fine as for 300 RPM as for 4200 RPM (no noise at all only wind), and between 1500 and 1600 it just goes SUPER MAD and makes a really HUUUGE noise.. I would appreciate any kind of help, since i don't know what can it be, and makes no sense working fine at higher values than the value it actually makes such noise..

Really hope someone can understand and help me out!

PEACE!

1401528 2015-05-28 22:56:00 The fan could be wearing out. Even though at the lower revs it may not make any noise, and at the higher is the same, BUT the "sweet spot" of 1500-1600 RPM, you may find there's a wear spot on the bearing or bush creating the loud noise and when at higher revs its going fast enough to over ride it.

Fans generally only make a loud noise for two reasons - Wear/ Full of dirt/Dust/Fluff /out of balance or over revving resulting in more noise.

Could be a bearing on it's way out, the reason it's noisy at particular speeds is likely related to harmonics .

There's no immediate danger to your system from a case fan, if it was the cpu fan that's a different story

Could need a clean out.
There may be more than one fan.
Identify which one it is.
Watch the fan when it's making the noise.
Could be touching on something.
If not, could be a bearing problem & the fan will need replacimg.
