| 1401139 | 2015-05-22 01:23:00 | You could also check disk management (right click the start button easiest way) and see if it shows up in case it's an incompatible format (or unformatted). By default they should show up though as they are usually either FAT/ FAT32/ exFAT all of which windows 8.1 can deal with. |

It should, if there's anything on it that Windows can read and there are no issues preventing it from working.. Various problems could include: Broken card or adapter if using one, broken reader, driver not installed, card incompatible (higher capacity than the reader can read), card unformatted, card filesystem corrupt, filesystem not Windows compatible or something wrong with Windows itself like corrupted system files. |
