1389958 2014-12-10 23:39:00 Looks like one of their updates from this week (Windows Root Certificate) has been causing probs for some.

If you find that you're getting errors, or something wont start, this maybe the cause (www.infoworld.com)

1389959 2014-12-11 06:48:00 Another good reason to turn off automatic Windows Updates. If I buy a car I expect it to be completely manufactured, I expect the same from Software! Its not as if its cheap! I am very selective with the updates, and always do an Acronis backup image before updating. mzee (3324)
1389960 2014-12-11 07:39:00 I do but I still check for updates. Strange that it only affects some systems tho. Most of the botch ups that have come out I've installed, I've never had probs with any of them Speedy Gonzales (78)

1389963 2014-12-11 22:15:00 Interesting, I held off installing and saw that update in the list yesterday. When I checked the updates this morning that one was not there. Wonder if they pulled it? Renegade (16270)
1389964 2014-12-11 22:52:00 I use win8.1 (32 bit) and checked that I have KB3004394 installed, and have no problems! Brucem (8688)
1389965 2014-12-11 23:13:00 I just uninstalled KB3004394 just in case. Bobh (5192)
