| 449274 | 2006-04-25 01:28:00 | A friend of mine has his internet connection and telephone sharing the same line and wall outlet. When he hangs up his telephone it causes his computer to start up. If he shuts his pc down using the power of button on the case, then this will not happen, however if he shuts down via the start menu/turn of computer etc the problem arrises. I have de-selected the option that allows his moden to wake his pc, but the problem still occurs. any suggestions as to where i should look next?? regards Grant |

| 449276 | 2006-04-25 02:27:00 | Sharing the same line? Does that mean he is on broadband or dial-up? As Tazz suggested, Wake on Ring or Wake on LAN could be enabled in the BIOS. Cheers :) |
