448962 2006-04-24 03:31:00 HI
I started getting blue screens saying BAD_POOL_CALLER and PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGE_AREA while i was trying to install windows xp. & also during the setup, while the "copying files" stage i got too many file missing errors even though the cd was n top condition.

so I did the memory test using Microsoft Windows Memory Diagnostic, and i got 233 LRAND errors.

What you suggest?.

448964 2006-04-24 03:45:00 Does appear to be the memory thats duff - try http://www.memtest86.com/ , they have an CD image (iso) that you could burn and boot from. gcarmich (10068)

448969 2006-04-24 12:16:00 ru sure.

Metla builds & sells computers, so I think he know what he is talking about ;)

Plus installing windows is a very very good test for the ram, so if you are having problems there a very good change the ram is bad!
