449146 2006-04-24 21:10:00 Morning all.

A while ago I d/loaded and installed Microsoft .Net Framework 1.1 as this was required for something related to my flight simming...

Now, instead of going direct to my Desktop at start, I'm now given a .Net password screen that I have to push 'Enter' to get passed.

I've tried to find a "Help" doc or similar that may tell me how to get rid of this, but no luck, hence this post.

Can anyone tell me how to get rid of the password prompt pop-up thingy??

Many thanks
Tim

449147 2006-04-24 21:43:00 Most probably cant stop it from popping up.

Have u got a hotmail address. If so, try ur username / pw for that.

I've never seen that prompt before. Must have something to do with this add-on you're using.

449148 2006-04-24 22:14:00 Do you mean you get the Windows XP user login screen that you get if you have more than one user setup on your machine? CYaBro (73)
449149 2006-04-24 22:52:00 Thanks guys.

It doesn't need a password, I just click on OK or press enter and it disappears and I cruise on to the desktop.

It's not the XP logon thing, it's specifically .Net.

Obviously it's no big deal, but it would be nice to have the PC boot straight to the desktop instead of sitting on this login screen...

Cheers
Tim

449150 2006-04-24 23:46:00 When you install .Net, it creates a .net user account for windows for some reason. If you disable that account, it will then auto log in. mejobloggs (264)
