| 449896 | 2006-04-27 03:18:00 | I am trying to run 2x monitors in XP. I have: 1x AGP video card 1x PCI video card 2x Monitors 1x computer I cant seem to get XP to pick up both monitors at once. And whats more confusing is if I unplug the AGP card, the PCI card monitor works perfectly...but wont work at all if the AGP card is plugged in. So I tried change my BIOS to load PCI first, this almost works...it loads the 2nd monitor but when Windows boots it changes to the 1st monitor and the display is all messed up. So in summary, can run any combo with 1 monitor but nothing works so far with both. Ideas? |

| 449897 | 2006-04-27 03:34:00 | You useally run 2 monitors off one AGP card. I have off mine. I have a Leadtek FX 6800 card which has 3 sockets on it. A DVI socket VIVO and VGA. You plug your main monitor into the VGA socket and you use the DVI to VGA adaptor which you plug into the DVI socket for the other monitor. You do all the settings through the Nvidia console. I would uninstall ALL the videocard drivers, get Drivercleaner Pro (http://www.drivercleaner.net). Install this. Leave both cards in, boot into safe mode, run Drivercleaner, select the make of driver (ATI/Nvidia). Then reinstall the videocard drivers. Then reboot. See if Windows detects / installs drivers for both videocards. |

Edit: damn Speedy you are to fast... Both cards have drivers installed no probs...it just appears there is a conflict with running AGP and PCI video cards? The PCI card has a "code 10" error in the device manager...yet works perfectly if the AGP card is removed. |
