As Microsoft mentions, it technically contradicts self-imposed limits, but man it can make Internet Explorer run faster. The MaxConnectionsPerServer default of 2 is ridiculous for a broadband connection, since with IE6 both connections are burnt up with one web page: one connection used for text, the other for images. I've occasionally had problems with some web site, when I get more than five simultaneous downloads, mostly with timeouts. |
